Carrington is central to the residential area of Hamilton Hill, just
south of Fremantle. The Aged Care facility replaced a former nursing
home that had been serving the area since 1973. The facility was recently
renovated and extended with an emphasis on providing stimulating lifestyle
options.
A further 16 suites are currently being added to this premium facility.
Both the Aged Care facility and Carrington Lodge are modern residences.
The architecture is Mediterranean style, including an al fresco dining
area, numerous courtyards and intimate internal and external sitting
areas.
And while the two facilities each operate independently and have their
own special character, they have been brought together with connecting
walkways to function as one community providing ageing in place. An outstanding characteristic is the elevated hostel suites that overlook Carrington
Street, which in turn has provided abundant and secure undercroft
car parking.
